The SendEmail activity can be used to send an email from a workflow through SMTP. This is a basic activity that uses the System.Net.Mail components to create and send an email at runtime.
This activity is an enhanced version of the SendEmail activity included in the Windows Workflow Foundation Beta 2 SDK. This version includes a custom designer and validator component.
