The download size listed above is incorrect.  The file size is approximately 45MB of content.  We are working to get the correct file size displayed. thanks -- the management

The .NET Framework 3.0 training kit for WF, WCF, and CardSpace includes a set of hands-on-labs, demos, and presentations. The content was originally designed as part of the Windows Server Ascend training and has been used several times for training classes. Consequently, the content is organized into a four day agenda. You can also browse this content by technology.

To use the training kit:

  1. Run the downloaded application to extract the files to your local machine.
  2. View the additional setup steps on the default page in the training kit.  This page should be displayed automatically after extracting the files.

Note:  If you do not use the default path when extracting the files, then some of the demos will need to be changed to utilize the new path.

I liked the fact that the .NET 3.0 training kit is reported to be only 11.4kb because that would be a quick download with minimum usage of the cap on my connection. Image my dismay when I saw it is actually 43mb!!! If I were the only one using this connection, that wouldn't be so bad, but there are 6 other people using it. Might I suggest organising to update the page which displays the file size to indicate the file's actual size. By the way ... got any idea where I can get tutorials for .NET? I really want to learn, but since I'm between jobs, I can't afford to pay for courses. You can get me by email: ah.kaoru@gmail.com

<soapbox>It says 11.4kb, but waa waa waa waa, I'm a big baby, and feel like you should've magically compressed all this content to only be the size of a small icon. I'm upset because I know that such a compression would only be worth $10,000,000 a day to a host of bandwidth heavy file delivery requirements</soapbox>

Chase, before being gratuitously and childishly objectionable, consider that people are not complaining about the size so much as the fact that the size is clearly and unambiguously misreported. Without reading these comments I would not have known what the actual size was (although I could guess that it wasn't 11.4K), which is important information for many of us. I have a 5G cap on my broadband account after which I'm throttled back to dialup speed, so I want to know in advance the size of anything I'm downloading and whether it's going to be the bit that pushes me over the limit, in which case I'd choose to try again next month.

I am really disappointed to learn the fact that despite of the first complaint about the incorrect file size which was posted on 14 feb (velantine da0), no one from the site administrators botherd to correct it. This site belongs to Microsoft Corporation, largest software company of the universe. And these people are so careless? Its a BIG questionmark on the quality of information provided by microsoft. It seems that they are providing misleading facts intensionally. In anybody from Microsot is reading it, please put the isuue in right hands so that it can be resolved.

Sorry about that, I have placed a disclaimer up there. There is a long, boring, technical reason why the file size displayed isn't correct and I'm working to get that fixed now.

<sniper>Guys, You are getting free training material and all you can do is *** and moan about incorrect filesize displayed on the site! Yes I agree it can be a bit of a dissapointment especially if you're on a modem... But a measly 43MB, c'mon, windows updates nowadays are much bigger and downloads in the background when you're not looking... LOL. My First Windows update after VS2005 was installed (SP1 etc.) was almost 600MB! Anyway, it is a lot better to be grateful about the free training material, and you'll feel better about yourself for feeling grateful! Have a great day and don't bicker about irrelevant things in life!Life is short, Enjoy It!</sniper>

The lab01 in Windows Workflow Foundation has a bug for running the service. You need to add in the expenseWorkflows.dll into the references of Lab01Resources\ExpenseReporting project. Otherwise the 2 window applications can't communicate with the workflow project.
